Josh Gertler represents individuals and families in personal injury, product liability, medical malpractice, and industrial/maritime-related claims. Blending legal training with an M.B.A. background, he handles complex damages and economic issues while keeping clients informed at every step.
Josh joined the Gertler Law Firm in February 2010 after earning his J.D. from Tulane Law School and M.B.A. from Tulane University’s business school (both 2009), and his B.S. from Syracuse University (2003); he was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 2009
Profile & Approach
Josh’s approach is practical and client-focused:
- Early evidence preservation: (photos/video, incident reports, EDR data, maintenance logs)
- Clear damages modeling: that ties medical records, work restrictions, and wage history to economic loss
- Direct communication: so clients know what’s happening and why
- Trial-ready preparation: to maintain leverage with insurers and corporate defendants
Outside the courtroom, Josh is active in real estate development in the New Orleans area, which complements his business-minded approach to complex injury cases.
